*Note: We offer BIAS parameter on Valve Amp Models, so you can tweak it to adjust the warmth of your sound.

For cathode biased power amp, there is no BIAS parameter.

 

Impulse Response

NUX created the iconic Solid Studio which was famous for its great sounding cab IRs with 8 legendary mics and 3 mic positions . . .

We decided to incorporate these popular IRs into the MG-30, including both bass and acoustic cabinet IRs. For each preset, you can load a third-party IR, allowing you to store up to 128 different IRs on the device (32 slots for each of the four available banks).

This flexibility gives you a wide range of tonal possibilities for both guitar and bass, enhancing your creative options.

I/O

The MG-30 features flexible I/O options that support the 4-cable method, allowing you to integrate with other effects pedals seamlessly. You can place the SEND/RETURN loop anywhere in the signal path for more routing control.

The EXP1 input can be used for an expression pedal or with the NUX NMP-2 to remotely control signal blocks.

Note: The MG-30 does not offer Stomp Mode directly. However, with the NMP-2 and CTRL, you can remotely switch between 3 signal blocks as stomp-style effects. This setup ensures that delays and reverbs maintain their trails when disengaged, giving a smoother transition.

Tuner & Looper Settings Memory

The MG-30 automatically remembers the last settings for both the Tuner and Looper when you exit the app.

• Looper settings such as Stereo/Mono, NR/AR, Drum Style, and Tempo will be saved.
• Tuner settings like Chromatic/Guitar, A4, etc., are also retained.

To revert to your last saved settings, simply press Knob 4 while in Edit Mode. This action will restore the previously saved configurations for both the signal blocks and tuner/looper settings.

Additionally, MIDI CC can be used to control the Wah effect, enabling or disengaging it.

WAH engage/disengage via CTRL footswitch.

 

 

Patch Rolling
To quickly cycle through patches, simply hold the UP or DOWN footswitch to activate Patch Rolling. You can then navigate to the desired patch slot and press CTRL to select and enter it.

System Restore

SYSTEM INSPECTION, GHOST BACKUP, GHOST RESTORE

 

 

In order to avoid unknown data missing accident, now you can do GHOST BACKUP on the device. Although not common, if a data error occurs, you can do GHOST RESTORE immediately.

To make sure GHOST BACKUP is completed, please do FACTORY RESET after you do GHOST BACKUP.

We removed the old GHOST function on QuickTone™ accordingly, because the V3 data structure has been changed and the old GHOST is no longer compatible.

 

IR Collection: 24 Slots

Now the IR COLLECTION is loaded in the device directly, and you can choose any of them to USER slot (THIRD-PARTY).
